My name is Brooklin, and I’m reaching out for help as I prepare to travel to Mayo Clinic in hopes of finally getting answers and relief from a complex set of undiagnosed symptoms. Over the past months, my health has declined to the point where I had to drop out of college and take leave from work. I experience pain from head to toe, involuntary muscle spasms, difficulty walking, burning and numbness, and painful ulcers called prurigo nodularis. My symptoms also include swollen lymph nodes, shortness of breath, difficulty swallowing and talking, migraines, blurry vision, Raynaud’s syndrome, a herniated disc, spinal stenosis, and spondylolisthesis, among many others. These issues have made daily life extremely challenging and isolating.

Despite trying multiple nerve pain medications, nothing has helped. My hope is that the specialists at Mayo Clinic will be able to diagnose my condition and provide the right treatment so I can regain my health and independence. My mom will be traveling with me for support, and we are scheduled to leave on October 4th. The costs for this trip—including flights, hotel, car rental, food and other necessities —are overwhelming, and I am asking for help to make this journey possible. Any support will go directly toward these expenses and give me the chance to get the care I desperately need.
