Hello friends,

This year has been so difficult for so many of us. We've struggled since the beginning of the pandemic to stay afloat in an unforgiving city. Justin lost his job in an industry that was completely decimated by the shut downs. It's not an unfamiliar story by any means.

We've managed to get thru until now.

Despite federal extensions on unemployment benefits, the state of California pulled Justin's benefits without notice 5 weeks ago. They told us it was because of the extension, but his claim was valid and ongoing "just give it time to catch up". Multiple people told him this. But yesterday he received a notice that his claim is cut off and no payments will be coming. Of course, we are appealing because IT'S A FREAKING PANDEMIC and the city is only just coming back to life. Restaurants are starting to hire staff cautiously optimistic of the future.

But right now we need help. It's never been easy for me to ask for help, but there it is. If you can, please do. If you can't, trust me I understand.
