Help Brooke Swimley in Her Time of Need

When the tones drop and a family is in need, you can always count on Brooke and Todd Swimley to drop everything to help a stranger in need. They have spent all of their adult lives volunteering for the ambulance association or the fire companies (Clymer Hose and Crary Hose). They have helped you or someone very close to you in someway or another and now it is our turn to return the favor.

Unfortunately, Brooke has been facing a medical crisis for a few months now and we are hoping for a diagnosis or a medical plan, but her case has been proven to be a very difficult one for the doctors.

About two months ago, she started having optical migraines with déjà vu experiences. They started out small and somewhat controllable, but that all change on May 15. What started out as a beautiful day turned into a nightmare. She was just having dinner on the back porch of her mom‘s house when she went into her first seizure the next 24 hours she would have a total of 11. From that day on, she has had a constant twitch and at least one seizure a day. At first the Dr. thought it could’ve been a medication and a seizure disorder but last night on June 2nd things got worse while visiting at her dad‘s. She went into another seizure and this time they did not stop. By the time we got to Williamsport Hospital she had at least 27 seizures. This morning she has had three more and they are currently running test to see what could be wrong.

Unfortunately, because of this, Brooke will be out of work for an unknown period of time and she’s going to have to take a step back from volunteering her time at the fire company, which is devastating for her.

Brooke and Todd have given so much to our community without hesitating and now I asked the same from you. It doesn’t matter how much because we all know a little can go long ways and if you don’t have any to give please just keep us in your prayers as the doctor try to figure out what is going on.
