My name is Brooke. I'm a junior at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and my biggest passion is to help the people around me find community and feel loved and valued. During my time at Tech, I've gotten to experience total love and acceptance for who I am by my community here, a place called Christian Campus Fellowship, or CCF. That love changed my life in such powerful ways that I believe the best thing I could do with my time would be to spread this culture of love and acceptance as far as it can possibly reach.  And so this upcoming spring, I will be moving to a Scottish counterpart of CCF, called Roots, at the University of Edinburgh to help build relationships based on Jesus's unconditional love and grace to transform the lives of students there. 
However, I can't afford to be a student and live over there, no matter how much I would love to do just that. This money will go towards living expenses and tuition for my classes while in Scotland. I have no ability to fund this in the entirety myself but by some miracle am hoping to have the funding to go by January 1, 2017.
