On September 4th, what was supposed to be a simple visit to the chiropractor turned into a life-changing moment for Brooke Webster.

Brooke, who lives in Sanger with her husband Leighton, their two young children (a 4-year-old son and 1½-year-old daughter), and their little rescue farm of goats, donkeys, and Fred the Great Pyrenees, went in for a minor neck adjustment. Instantly after the treatment, she became lightheaded, dizzy, and soon non-responsive.

She was rushed by ambulance to Denton Hospital and then transferred to Fort Worth for neuro specialists. After extensive testing, doctors determined that the adjustment caused a lesion in her left artery, which led to five minor strokes.

While doctors are optimistic about a full recovery, Brooke faces a long and difficult road. She cannot work, cannot lift more than 5 lbs, and must follow a strict recovery regimen. Most painfully, this means she cannot fully be the hands-on, energetic mom she has always been for her kids during this time.

Brooke and Leighton are incredibly strong and faithful, and they are blessed with a loving family and community. But the road ahead—medical bills, missed work, and the added challenges of recovery—creates a heavy burden.
