Help Brooke receive treatments for PANDAS

Retired FireFighter, Chuck Misener and Taryn Schell, owner of Emerge Medical & Well Spa's  daughter Brooke was once a vibrant,social, thriving  varsity cheerleader.  Overnight she developed crippling OCD,  severe motor and vocal tics to the point of not being able to leave our home. What was initially diagnosed as Tourette’s disorder,  we later found out that it was actually PANDAS. After many visits to specialists, her test results came back with dangerously high levels of  streptococcus in her blood, and elevated copper. Treatment of anabiotic’s and steroids  will usually bring the strep down, but this form of treatment isn’t working for Brooke because her step is so high. A “normal” strep count is LESS than 200 , Brooke’s has been as high as 1,585. Brooke has a unique case (as we have been told), and has been advised to seek more aggressive form of treatments by a team of Physicians at John Hopkins Hospital. Her strep has more than  tripled since the beginning of her symptoms and is causing massive  inflammation of her brain. The only way to manage the inflammation is to get rid of the streptococcus in her blood with a more aggressive treatment such as IVIG, Plasmapheresis, etc. A lot of these treatments aren’t covered by insurance for her condition and starts at $10,000. Brooke feels trapped in her own body and desperately wants to get better. High school is supposed to be the best years of her life, and it was stripped away from her from being beat up, bullied and dropping out of cheer which she loved so much ever since 1st grade from this terrible condition. Brooke is in pain everyday trying to suppress the tics that take over her entire body. Brooke needs help to get the treatment she so desperately  deserves.
