“Support Brooke's Fight Against Cancer and Financial Hardship”
Hello, friends and compassionate souls,
My name is Tallulah, and I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart to share my friend Brooke’s story. At the age of 30, she was diagnosed with stage 3 Rectal cancer. Unfortunately, her battle didn’t end there. At 31, she received another devastating diagnosis: cancer in the lymph nodes. Despite the challenges, she fought hard and persevered.
Last year, life dealt her another blow—she lost her job. She filed for permanent disability due to chronic lymphedema in her left leg and groin resulting from her second cancer. The process was grueling, and after waiting eight long months, her disability claim was denied. During that agonizing wait, she depleted her lifelong savings just to make ends meet.
Now, at age 41—ten years after her initial diagnosis—she finds herself facing rectal cancer once again. Unable to work, she’s hired a lawyer to appeal her disability claim. But the bills keep piling up. She’s in treatment until October of this year, and the financial strain is overwhelming.
How You Can Help: I’m humbly asking for your support. Your generosity can make a world of difference. Here’s how you can help:
1. Donate: Every contribution, no matter how small, counts. Whether it’s the cost of a cup of coffee or more, your donation will directly impact her life.
2. Spread the Word: Share this GoFundMe campaign with your network. Let’s create a ripple effect of kindness and compassion.
3. Prayers and Positive Vibes: If you can’t contribute financially, your thoughts and well-wishes mean the world. Cancer is a battle fought not just in hospitals but also in hearts.
About Brooke: Beyond her health struggles, she has passions that keep her going. She loves creating beautiful dreads and styling people’s hair. Animals hold a special place in her heart—she cares for two pigs, ten chickens, and two dogs. Life has thrown her curveballs, but her spirit remains resilient.
Asking for help is never easy, but I’m reaching out because I believe in the goodness of humanity. Together, we can ease the burden and bring hope to Brooke’s life.
Thank you for being a beacon of light during her darkest days.
Note: All funds raised will go directly toward Brooke’s mortgage, utilities, and credit card debt. Let’s rally together and make a difference! ❤️
