Help Brooke in laying Jordan to rest and honoring him!

Hi, my name is Brooke Otterson-Engel and I am trying to fundraise money on behalf of my brother Jordan Otterson. Jordan passed away unexpectedly due to some medical issues which caused the doctors to do cpr on him for an hour. Due to the lack of oxygen to his brain in that great amount of time, it caused severe brain damage. We had to make the hardest decision of all time to let him pass for his quality of life and no more suffering. To make things even more difficult in a depressing and hard time all of this financial aftermath is falling on my shoulders to take care of!

My background… I just got divorced last summer, and bought a fixer up house ( not knowing the extent of the house as previous owner deceased and family was selling as is) while I was renting in the meantime. So for the last 10 months I have been paying double living bills. Every paycheck and my savings have went to make the house I bought liveable and up to code…and the work is not done yet. So I am very strapped to say the least!

My brother was getting disability and was living in a fixed income due to him having a kidney transplant at the age of 2/3 years old. He was receiving Medicaid/medicare insurance. I called the state to see if they help with any burial/creamation services and my brother did not qualify! I just want to be able to lay my brother to rest, celebrate/honor him with a celebration of life, and possibly get a plaque/headstone next to our deceased mother. I will not give up on my brother, Jordan. and will some how make this work for him! So if you find it in your heart and in any way able to help out it will never be forgotten! If I am blessed with help and have any extra over that I do not need for my brothers passing expenses I will pay it forward. My best friend Jamie and her husband( Jamie and Jeremy Ahrndt) have a benefit next month as her husband has been fighting brain cancer. Any extra money that I do not need to cover my brothers expenses will be given to them!
