Help Brooke & Her Pet on Her Birthday!

Hi! Britt Shaheen here. One of my best friends (and first friend!) in Nashville, Brooke Wishard, has a very sick cat who’s in cancer treatment. For her birthday, we want to surprise her with the one thing she needs but would never ask for - funds to help cover treatment. Brooke has some huge and amazing life changes coming up and any help at all would make a world of difference. If you’re a local in Nash, Brooke has probably helped you at some point either with your own pet, your faith, or has been a helping hand and smiling face. Brother Wishard was diagnosed with renal lymphoma on September 4, 2024, and started aggressive chemotherapy, given 4-9 months to live without remission. He is undergoing the CHOP protocol, a 25-week treatment involving weekly doses of different chemotherapy drugs, along with ongoing blood work, echocardiograms, and abdominal ultrasounds to monitor his health, especially given his cardiac condition. His treatments, including medications like Vincristine, Cyclophosphamide, and Doxorubicin, are costly, ranging from $100 to $1,200 per session, with additional monitoring costs. Currently in week 12 of 25, Brother Wishard is responding well to the treatment, staying comfortable, eating well, and maintaining a normal weight. His cancer could progress at any time, and while the prognosis is uncertain, the goal is to keep him as comfortable as possible and maximize the time spent with him.
