After trying to have children for three and a half years, we finally welcomed our firstborn, Larry. Since then, it’s been another four and a half years of hoping to grow our family, but we haven’t been able to conceive again. Over the past year, Brooke has endured chronic abdominal pain that has only gotten worse. She has had three ovarian cysts burst, causing intense, nauseating pain—one episode even sent her to the ER. We’ve been working closely with an OB/GYN recommended by our midwife, attending multiple appointments and seeing several specialists. She is a stay-at-home mom caring for our 4½-year-old Larry, and this pain affects her ability to eat, exercise, do chores, run errands, and enjoy daily life without constant discomfort.

UPDATE: She just had surgery on June 10th. She had a laparoscopic surgery, the doctor made 5 incisions on her abdomen, and went in to identify the issues. She had remnants from a ruptured cyst (Blood, inflammatory tissue, and the cyst itself), this had drained out inside of her abdomen and had fused to her other reproductive organs. The doctor removed this gunk. The doctor also removed her left fallopian tube because it was so damaged and scarred it wasn't salvageable, as well as performing an "Ovarian Wedge Resection" (This is where the doctor cuts out little pie slices from each ovary in order to get them to reset). The OWR was necessary because Brookes ovaries were polycystic, and almost double their normal size. She has been in recovery since then, and now we have ben focused on raising money for her other medical nessecities post-op, and paying off our debt with the hospital which is over $31,000.
