Help Brooke (Sliger) Wyse Fight Cervical Cancer

After an abnormal pap earlier this year and a biopsy in July, I was diagnosed with early invasive cervical cancer stage IA. After surgery on 8/10/20 to remove the cancerous part of my the diagnosis/staging changed from IA to IB. The worst part about all of this is the fact that I am also pregnant, which obviously complicates things and makes for a pretty unique situation. What is supposed to be a happy and exciting journey has turned into one filled with anxiety, fear, and uncertainty. A whole team of doctors have been working on my case and it has been decided that it is too risky to sit back and do nothing until after the baby comes. The plan for now is to do chemo treatments every 3 weeks starting 8/25. I will have routine appointments with my OBs at Parkview Noble and regular check ups and scans with the high risk OB in Fort Wayne to make sure baby's heart rate is normal and that he is growing and developing as he should. I will also have to have a c-section at 37 weeks at PRMC. Luckily whatever we might need should be easily accessible there. I will need to do a PET scan 6 weeks after delivery then possible radiation depending on how things look at that point. I will also need a hysterectomy. With both Tyson and I needing to take unpaid time off of work, having our regular bills, medical bills piling up, and other needs we may have with childcare, meals, gas back and forth, and still needing to purchase so many things for our baby boy, we are putting aside our pride and asking for any kind of help you can give.
