Stand by Brooke with Love (and Great Hair)

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out on behalf of one of my dearest friends, Brooke — someone who means the world to me and so many others.

Brooke has been courageously living with metastatic breast cancer for nearly six years. She was first diagnosed at just 28 years and after her initial battle, we all hoped it was behind her. But in 2019, her cancer returned, and it’s something she has been quietly and fiercely fighting ever since.

Recently, Brooke received some incredibly tough news. The oral medication she had been relying on is no longer effective. Her only remaining option is IV chemotherapy — a treatment that she’s now undergoing weekly, and will continue for as long as her body responds.

As you can imagine, this next stage brings a wave of physical and emotional challenges. One of the hardest for Brooke has been the looming loss of her hair. She’s about to say goodbye to it — this time, likely for good. While the hospital offers a wig library, the options are limited, and nothing has really helped her feel like her.

Brooke deserves to feel confident and beautiful, ESPECIALLY at a time like this. That’s why I’m setting up this fundraiser — to help cover the cost of high-quality, natural-looking wigs that reflect who she is. Wigs that feel like Brooke.

If you know her, you know she’s one of the strongest, kindest, and most grounded people you’ll ever meet. And while she has never asked for much, I know that having this small comfort would mean the world to her.

We’d love to raise $6,000 to help Brooke purchase a few high-quality, natural-looking wigs that reflect who she is — strong, beautiful, and completely herself. These wigs will offer her not just comfort, but confidence and normalcy during this whirlwind.
