Help Bronx (Vet Emergency Fund)
Donation protected
Thank you everyone in advance for reading! We are fighting to help our favorite little guy Bronx, who was rushed to the emergency vet this afternoon.
I woke up this morning to some odd sounds, which is very normal for that smoosh faced nugget. However, when I looked at him, I found him sleeping next to a pile of vomit. We started our day, but he could not stop vomiting. He got a cool bath, a nice seat in the AC with 2 fans on him (hello heat wave), but he just kept retching and shaking.
I took him to the ER vet where they gave him fluids and anti-nausea medicine. We thought we'd be able to pick him up after a few hours on IV drips, but then got a call that while he was out on a walk (right before his dismissal) he started panting and being unable to breathe. The nurse told me his gums and mouth went blue.
Bronx is now on a ventilator. The vet was concerned and prescribed bloodwork and x-rays to test for any disease, parasites, or blockages. As of right now, he is stable and hanging out under watchful eyes. We don't know how long he will need to stay, but hoping for more answers soon.
Like many in this pandemic, I have not been able to work and would so appreciate any help you can give. I want him to get the care he needs to be comfortable. Please consider donating so we can get everyone's favorite ball-obsessed, goblin king back on his feet.
Bonus: Would be more than happy to send you some adorable Bronx photography in exchange for aid! We've had some great travels together, and he is known for being quite the little model (when bribed with trips to the beach).
Thank you,
Emma + Bronx
P.S. Will post updates as we have them!
