Hi, my name is Katie and my dear friends have had a terrible tragedy. Abby and Kate are sisters living with their families on the farm they grew up on. They are working to bring the farm back to life and to teach people the value in homesteading while growing their farm. They provide the community with produce and have milk-share and beef share programs. They work hard to educate and encourage others through their online platforms as well as through the 4-h programs. They love their animals, their farm, their community and their friends, and are trying their best to give back the best they can. As a recipient of both their animal raising knowledge and farm goods, I can say that these women are as salt or the earth as they come- and today, their little farm was shaken. Their dairy barn burnt to the ground- with all of their equipment and their goat herd still inside. Luckily their cow herd was out in the pasture.

This sweet family will be starting their dairy program over, again, from scratch- and I’m asking that if you have the means and the heart, to help them however you can. They make very little profit off of their efforts, but do it out of love and an absolute belief in the lifestyle.
