Help Science Olympiad Team

We’re a group of hardworking high school students putting our passion for science and engineering to the test by competing in Science Olympiad. It’s like the Olympics, but instead of sports, we’re taking on challenging events in physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, cryptography, engineering, and more. We compete in hands-on events like building helicopters, designing robots, and constructing towers. These projects require a lot of materials our school simply can’t afford, like balsa wood, lumber, and robot parts. The success of these engineering events contributes directly to the overall success of our team, but all of the subjects we compete in are equally important.

While some schools have lots of funding and access to better resources, we believe we shouldn’t be held back just because our school can’t provide the same level of support. We’re working hard in class, after school, and on weekends, giving it everything we’ve got because we know science is the key to solving so many of the world’s problems. We’re determined to make a difference and keep pushing ourselves to reach our full potential. We made it to 2nd place in our region last year and 15th at States, and we know we can do even better this year. Every donation goes a long way in helping us succeed and show what we’re capable of.

The problem? These competitions cost money—registration fees, transportation to the tournaments, and of course, the materials we need to build and test our designs. Every dollar you donate helps us get one step closer to showing what we can do. We’re from an inner-city school, and we don’t always get the same resources as other teams, but we’ve got the talent, the drive, and the heart to make it.
