Help Brody Recover After a Violent Attack

My name is Paige, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my brother, Brody. Brody is one of the kindest, most hardworking people I know. He’s the type of person who always tries to do his best in life, no matter what obstacles come his way.

Brody is a single father raising two wonderful children on his own. He works long, tough hours—often 49 to 53 hours a week—as a welder to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. Despite shouldering so much responsibility, Brody has always looked for ways to help others because he knows how hard life can be when you’re struggling and feel alone.

Recently, Brody tried to help someone who had just gotten out of prison. He bought lawn equipment so this person could start a small business and get back on their feet. Sadly, things went in a very different direction. Brody had known Carlos for a longer time, and when he began selling the equipment for drug money, Brody confronted him. Carlos violently attacked and stabbed Brody. Brody had to undergo emergency surgery to save his life.

Now, on top of the trauma he’s endured, Brody is facing overwhelming medical costs along with his everyday bills. The reality is that raising two children as a single parent was already hard financially, but this situation has pushed things to the limit.

Brody didn’t deserve this, but in spite of everything, he continues to fight for himself and his children.
