Help Brody get an MRI and get healthy

Hello friends & family,

This as many of you know is Brody, my 12 yo Pom mix. He is not just any dog, he is my best friend and has been my travel companion for the past 6 years. He has traveled all 48 states and has been my joy, love and company while I have worked as a truck driver. His personality is just the best. He is silly and playful and must always have Brody snuggles every morning before we start our day.

Sadly this past Tuesday late after midnight Brody had what we thought was a very bad seizure. He has had a couple minor ones in the past couple months but this one was different. Earliest we could get into our vet was Friday morning and even thou his bloodwork looked ok, our vet suspects he had a bad stroke. Possibly due to flea medication we had him on that enhanced his chances of this happening.

He needs to see a neurologist and get an MRI to determine how bad this was and why it happened. As anyone of you know with pets, unexpected vet bills are never any fun. We spent over $200 on Friday just for bloodwork and to get an MRI is looking around $500 or more.

I know most people would say, “well just let him go, he’s just a pet”.

I can’t have children, so my horses and my dogs over the years have been my kids. I love him like a son and I’m not ready to give up on him. If we can get him an MRI and get on proper meds he could still have a chance at many more years of love and happiness.
