Like many of you know, my son Brody has significant disabilities and requires accommodations to fully participate in everyday activities and community spaces. Over the last several months, I’ve spent countless hours advocating for accessibility and inclusion within our local parks and recreation facilities. What started as a mom asking questions and trying to make sure her child had the same opportunities as everyone else has grown into something much bigger. As we’ve moved through this process, it became clear that our family needed professional guidance and advocacy. That’s why I’ve chosen to partner with Paynter Pathways. Paynter Pathways will help our family navigate accessibility concerns, communicate with decision-makers, identify barriers, and ensure our concerns are heard and addressed in a meaningful way. They are dedicating their professional time, expertise, resources, and advocacy to help our family work toward a more inclusive community for Brody and others like him. I’m asking for help because these services come with costs that our family cannot easily carry alone.
