Brodie has been my best friend for 8 years as you all know, well if you know me you know he is a big part of my life. Today I had to leave Brodie at the emergency animal hospital... the worst feeling ever.. it all started within the past month I've noticed him loosing some weight and drinking more water then usual and I didn't think anything of it because we just moved to a new house and it has a big yard for him to run around and what not,  but over the weekend Brodie has taken a turn for the worse and stopped eating and started vomiting anything and everything that went into his belly. Monday morning when I took him to his vet they did blood work, checked his weight etc.. we found out that he is diabetic and he lost over 20 pounds and he is in a state of decay due to  not being treated for the diabetes and pancreas is it terrible condition because of the whole situation...... We are kindly asking for any contributions big or small to help give him the treatment he needs to be able to come home and live comfortably with myself, Will, Amos and his soon to arrive (any day now) little brother. The hospital bill for Brodie will be roughly 5000$ but we have enough for part of the medical expenses, but unfortunately not all due to the fact of all this covid nonsense and me not being able to work and us just moving into our home and a baby on the way. The doctors and medical staff at the animal hospital say his prognosis is about 75% and with the right treatment and a 2-4 day hospital stay, we can get him back on his 4 paws, with the exception of him having to take insulin for the remainder of his doggie years, which is fine with us if we can get a few more years with our precious boo boo. We are staying positive and are asking you, our friends and family, for help during this difficult time. Help in any way will go far!
