Most of you may know my sister Brittny and have been following her Endometriosis Journey for the last 5 1/2 years, but if your new here I ask that you please continue to read and to help my sister as she is about to undergo her 9th surgery on December 9th, 2025. We have had many fundraisers and A LOT of support the last few years and we want to thank you for your continued support of my sissy! Brittny was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometriosis in 2020, a nasty disease that still to this day people think is "Just a bad period" but it is certainly more than that. She has lost her Uterus, Fallopian tubes, appendix, and now with this upcoming surgery she will be losing a portion of her ureter due to scaring/damage from endometriosis. Last year in September of 2024 she went to Atlanta to an Endometriosis specialist and had one of the biggest surgeries she's ever undergone, a hysterectomy that lasted more than 5 hours. We hoped and prayed it would be the last of the ongoing pain she has endured for years and would be the "Cure" she needed to have a good quality of life, not only for herself, but for her son DJ . Unfortunately, December 26, of 2024 things took a turn for the worst. She woke up with excruciating pain and went the day hoping it wasn't serious and it would eventually pass. After multiple updates from her throughout the day I finally said, "GO TO THE HOSPITAL!" After several tests it was found that she may have a potential blockage in her ureter which is affecting her kidney to function properly. She underwent surgery to get a stent placed and was in recovery for several weeks until the stent was taken out in February of 2025. Multiple tests and MRIs throughout the year have been done with the urologist to monitor her kidneys and she was told that her Left Kidney was starting to lose function. Two weeks ago, it was decided that a Cystoscopy was needed so the Doctor could explore the area, and it was found that Brittny's Left Kidney was 3x the size it should be. So here we are with ANOTHER procedure scheduled for December 9th and in this procedure the doctor will reconstruct the damaged ureter in hopes of preventing further kidney damage. She will be in the hospital for 1-2 days and out of work for 4-6 weeks and as most of you know she is a single mom who not only takes care of her son, but she also takes care of others as a massage therapist. At this time, I am asking that we help take care of Brittny so she can focus on recovering and get back to what she does best, Healing others through Massage therapy and being there for her son DJ.
