Help Brittney Save Blu from Epilepsy

My name is Brittney Miller. I am a recent college graduate and starting to work soon as a COTA at Spartanburg Regional. My dog Blu is my 137lb gentle giant that I love dearly. I got him after a miscarriage I had in 2022. I drove through 5 states to get my boy, and he has been the light of my life since.

Since May, Blu has been having some health issues, in which the vet has diagnosed him with idiopathic epilepsy. He is currently in his 3rd overnight stay at the hospital with grand mal seizures since December 1st. I am awaiting the call to transport him to Upstate Vet today so he can get fast-tracked into neurology. So far, we don’t have answers as to what is causing these seizures, but I am fighting so hard for my boy.

With all of this has come some quite expensive vet bills, in which I am maxing out credit cards to pay. Between the medications, foods, vitamins, vet visits, hospital stays, and now a specialist visit in the next few hours, I have accumulated quite a lot. In addition, I haven’t been able to work since I graduated because of a broken foot. I am set to start work at my new job at the end of this month, but as a recent college student with little to no income throughout that process, you can imagine this is tough.

Me and my kids adore Blu and couldn’t imagine a life without him in it. If you can find it in your hearts to help us keep our boy alive, we would be nothing short of grateful. Thank you.
