HELLO , My name is Dee I am the mother of Brittany Slater . I have set up this Medical Fundraiser to comply with our agreement to be financially secure to stay 12 weeks in Nashville, Tennessee when Brittany gets her call that organs are available .

Brittany is a devoted, loving and all around beautiful 31-year-old single mother to Greyson (5) and Kason (3). She

has been bravely battling a rare kidney disease called FSGS since she was just 18 years old. Over the years, this illness progressed to End Stage Renal Disease, requiring Brittany to undergo peritoneal dialysis for the past two years. As if that wasn’t enough, two years ago Brittany was also diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Despite these overwhelming challenges, Brittany has remained strong for her boys, determined to be there for every milestone in their lives.

Recently, Brittany received the news that she has been approved for the Dual Heart and Kidney Transplant Waiting List at Vanderbilt University Hospital. This is a critical step in her journey, but it comes with significant hurdles. When a donor match is found, Brittany will need to travel over five hours from Arkansas to Nashville for the transplant surgery. She must then remain near the hospital for at least 12 weeks to recover and receive ongoing care. The costs associated with this—temporary housing, travel, meals, caregiver support, and post-transplant medications not covered by insurance—are overwhelming for Brittany and her family.
