Hi,
I’m Brittany.
I’m a 35-year-old woman living with multiple mental health conditions (Autism, ADHD, PTSD, and more) that have made it impossible for me to work right now.
I’m waiting for my disability hearing in October 2025, but until then, I have no steady income. My SNAP benefits unexpectedly ended in June, my bank account has been in the negative all year, and I’ve been relying on occasional support from family and strangers just to get by.
To make things harder, I’m also worried about losing my Medicaid benefits, which I need to access therapy, prescriptions, and medical care.
My basic monthly expenses include:
Phone (my lifeline for medical and legal calls): $250
Rent: $500
Groceries/Essentials: $500
That’s about $1,250/month. I’m asking for $7,500 to help cover the next months while I fight to get approved for benefits.
I’ve been doing everything I can—working with my attorney, completing screenings for Autism, PTSD, and other conditions with my therapist, and trying to stay afloat—but the system moves painfully slow.
This fundraiser is my way of asking for help so I can stay housed, fed, and connected to my care team during this critical time.
If you’re able to contribute, even a little, it would mean the world. And if you can’t donate, sharing this with others could make all the difference.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and support me during such a hard chapter. ❤️
