Help Brittany Recover From Brutal Random Attack

Hello, chances are if you clicked this link then you know Brittany. She has lived and worked in North County majority of her life; She has made abundant amount of friends in every city she has lived and worked in; She is devoted to family, a loyal and trustworthy friend, and she is a truly great presence to be around.

 

 

Brittany was viciously attacked Wednesday evening in Encinitas, after leaving a bar. The incident was random, unprovoked and happened within seconds. A man who had previously been kicked out of the bar, sprinted across the street and blindsided Brittany and the company she was with as they exited the bar. Brittany was the last one to exit, therefore being behind the rest of her party.

 

The man punched her, and once she fell to the ground he kicked her in the head. Brittany sustained substantial wounds. Her nose, and orbital bone are broken as well as a ruptured eardrum. As of Thursday evening, Brittany had surgery to correct her orbital bone.

 

The man who assaulted her was chased and detained by her boyfriend until the police arrived, however Brittany's boyfriend and family are still waiting to hear back from detectives on the next steps, and also to hear if he is still currently in custody, charges etc...

 

 

 

 

The bills have not begun to come yet but the surgery she needed to have was not covered or fully covered by her insurance. The estimated medical expense for that alone is close to $10,000. Plus she was taken from the scene by an ambulance. She has a long recovery process ahead of her and not a very comfortable one, she will be out of work for some time, as she JUST began her new journey cooking.

 

 

 

She is in a lot of pain and I'm sure as anyone would be very confused as to why this happened. Her boyfriend Mike has to continue working to pay the bills and even more so now, and is not in a position to take extra time off. Brittany's wonderful mother, Rosanne, will be taking care of Brittany majority of the time, but they will need help.

 

Brittany is such a wonderful spirit. Shes a great host, hilariously captivating, and genuinely caring. The friends and acquaintances she has, last for decades/lifetimes, and she always shows up for her family and friends. It's a testament to what a great person she is. Personally, she has shown up and been by my side when needed, for the better part of my life, regardless of the time passed and I think most people can say the same.

 

 

 

Please if you can help change this random act of violence into an act of kindness, anything helps, and it might restore some of her faith in humanity and be a tiny silver lining to know how much she is loved, in this terrible situation.
