Help Brittany Pursue Her MBA
Hello friends & family,
As many of you may know, I'm pursuing my MBA this fall at the University of Rochester's Simon Business School. Simon is a top 40 MBA program with an emphasis on STEM. I will be pursing a concentration in Marketing & Strategy.
I am incredibly honored to have been accepted into a 2 year full-time program and to receive the Forte Fellowship to help cover my tuition, as well as being selected as a Consortium member. My school has decided to run a hybrid program, which would require me to still live on campus.
Although this is an incredible opportunity, I've had just a few months to prepare for business school, when most people have a few years to save and plan. I've not only had my company suffer, but I also lost my job security in the Airline Industry. Also, due to personal issues, I've had to move twice so far in less than 1 year.
For the past 5 years I've worked as a flight attendant and social entrepreneur in the travel & tourism industry, and have led a few very successful small businesses. Unfortunately, due to COVID, my industry and so many others, have been completely devastated by the pandemic.
In order to make this journey to B-School a reality, I need your help. In exchange for your donation I can offer a few services: A custom itinerary, 1 hour of small business consulting, 1 hour of insights on travel & tourism, targeting millennials, or using social media to tell stories and build authentic brands.
I am raising money for the following expenses:
+ Breaking Lease early
+ Re-location from Philadelphia to Rochester
+ Remaining balance from undergrad (for official transcript)
+ Industry Conferences & School Supplies
My journey to business school is incredibly important to me, my family, and my greater community. I plan on making an impact in diversity & inclusion, sustainability, and corporate responsibility.
Interesting stats in U.S. :
Black people make up appropriately 8% of the those with graduate degrees
Black people make up approximately 6% of MBAs
Women make up approximately 40% of MBA students
Black women with MBAs (N/A)
