Help Brittany Makeup for Lost Wages from a Work Injury

Hi! My name is Brittany, I’m a first gen college student about to start my second semester at MSU, a single mother to a wonderful six year and I run the Gallatin County Diaper Bank.

While working on the farm I received a very painful second degree sunburn that soon blistered and made it so I was unable to stand, or work, for just about two weeks. (The pictures below show the progress of my injury, fair warning, they’re gross).

I’m lucky I have an amazing employer who let me have time away from work to heal, unfortunately due to my position I did not have any sick or PTO time available. I’ve filed a report with workman’s comp and while it’s very likely my medical bills will be handled - I lost out on almost two weeks worth of wages. This is something that could be devastating to anyone - especially a single income household like mine.

Im trying to raise money to help make up for my lost wages, as well as help me pay for two months worth of rent (July and August) to help get us above water as I enter the next semester at school.
