Hello, my name Is Mark VerHage I am the Stepfather to Brittany Batenburg (LaFountaine)

What seemed to be a routine Doctor visit for a physical later became one of the worst days this girl could have. After finding a lump that she expected to be benign, testing soon confirmed Breast Cancer. She has already had a double mastectomy, and cancer was also found in one of the removed lymph nodes. This is not what was in the plan.

She was a happy wife working as a full-time Medical Assistant, hoping to start a family soon while caring for their two rescue dogs. Life has changed drastically. Now going through Fertility Preservation, then starting Chemotherapy followed by Radiation. She has a fight on her hands.

We as human beings do not sign up for this disease called Cancer!! As a young couple going through this turmoil, please help them with these expenses that weren’t expected.
