Help Brittany during treatment

*UPDATED:
Brittany is being transferred to a different hospital to complete a 28-day mental health program. She has already spent 3 weeks in the hospital, so this will become a 7 week's stay. Unfortunately, the hospital does not have psychotherapists as part of their service, which is crutial to Brittany's healing. All psychotherapists see patients under their private practice, which means Brittany will need to pay out of pocket for this service. Since she will be out of work for roughly 8 weeks or more, the costs of this service, as well as covering her living expenses, will be next to impossible to cover financially.
I started this Gofundme on behalf of my good friend, Brittany.
I truly appreciate you taking a moment of your time to read a short snippet of her story.
In the past year, Brittany has faced multiple hardships, which have taken a large toll on her physical, emotional, and mental health. She has been strong and persevered, but lately, it has become too much for her to handle on her own.
Brittany has a beautiful heart and always puts her loved ones' needs above her own. Her sweet girl, Bella, was diagnosed with a spinal disc disease this past year. This resulted in many trips to her local vet, the Charlottetown Veterinary College, and the expenses that come with these services. During the same time frame, she escaped a relationship built on lies, abuse, and manipulation. Brittany poured her heart into this relationship and was given emotional scarring and a large amount of debt in return.
In an attempt to try to salvage her finances, Brittany has downsized as many expenses as possible, including giving up her vehicle, to keep the bills paid and a roof over her head.
As many of you know, the increasing costs of living have not made this any easier.
Last week, she decided to make the brave decision to speak out about her struggles. Her family and friends are so thankful she did and acknowledge that it is not an easy thing to do. Brittany has since been admitted to the hospital where she can focus on her overall health and well-being while she receives treatment.
Unfortunately, due to being self-employed, Brittany does not have access to paid sick leave.
Additionally, her private health insurance does not cover any of her living expenses or income lost during her hospitalization.
This has left Brittany with a great deal of stress and fear that taking time off from her work to take care of herself, will only further her burden since there is no income to cover her bills.
Any donations will go towards covering Brittany’s living expenses (such as rent, utilities, and groceries), costs of therapy, and any unexpected expenses.
Thank you so much.
