Hi, my name is Brittany Caldwell. I was diagnosed with rectal cancer on my 32nd birthday this past January.

To provide insight on my current situation, back in September of 2024 I was experiencing nausea frequently, almost everyday but self diagnosed myself and chalked it up to be stress related. I then went almost 2 weeks without having a bowel movement I then decided to go to the ER where they referred me to Borland Groover where I had an upper GI endoscopy done where they found an bacterial infection in my small intestine, they assumed the symptoms I was experiencing was from the infection. After completing the cycle of antibiotics I was still experiencing symptoms. I then had a colonoscopy done on January 15th where my doctor found what she believed was cancer, it was than confirmed on January 21st it was in fact cancer. I am here to ask for help, because I am the sole income of my household where it has left me to utilize my savings to pay bills and make ends meet since I have been missing so much work.
