Help Brittany and Her Kids During Recovery

Hi, my name is Brittany,I’m 31 and I’m reaching out during the hardest chapter of my life.

I’ve recently been diagnosed with early-stage ovarian cancer, and in just a few weeks, I’ll be undergoing a total hysterectomy. This surgery is necessary and lifesaving — but it also means I’ll be out of work for at least 8 weeks while I recover.

I’m a single mom of four incredible kids, ages 12, 11, 3, and 1. I work as a part-time bartender, and unfortunately, my job doesn’t provide any benefits or paid medical leave. I’ve tried to save up what I could, but with everyday expenses — mortgage, diapers, wipes, and back-to-school needs — I’m already struggling.

I’m terrified not only of the surgery, but of how I’ll keep my family afloat during recovery. That’s why I’m humbly asking for help.

• Covering mortgage and utilities during recovery

• Buying diapers, wipes, and food for my little ones

• Making sure my older kids are ready for school with the supplies and clothes they need

• Any unexpected medical or recovery-related expenses
