I am Brittanie, a mom who has always tried to do right by my children and community. For nearly a year, I have been separated from my babies—missing their birthdays, their calls, and the everyday moments that mean so much. This heartbreak is the result of an unjust system, where undertrained officials and corruption have made it impossible for me to be with my family. My situation is complicated by a 'worse charge,' but I know in my heart that my Lord accepts all my shortcomings and sees the truth behind every circumstance.

The lack of education and proper training in local systems has led to unfair treatment and policies that hurt families like mine. I never asked for these conditions, but I am determined to fight for justice and bring my story into the light. As Luke 8:17 says, 'For all that is secret will eventually be brought into the open, and everything that is concealed will be brought to light and made known to all.' I believe that with time, my story will help change policies, procedures, and laws for the better.
