Help Brittani & Chase recover from sewer damage

My niece Brittani Roe, her boyfriend Chase Brunner, and his 6-year-old daughter purchased their first home on July 8, 2022. They put all of their savings toward the down payment and couldn't wait to make this house their home! This past weekend, something they could never have imagined happening, happened... The sewer backed up and filled their finished basement with several inches of RAW SEWAGE!! Their insurance company has been out to the house and determined the sewer line is clogged and is leaking a few properties over. Because the clog is in the neighbor's yard, the insurance company considers it a private property matter and will not cover it, and neither will Riverdale City because the break is in the neighbor's yard. The property owner does not want any work/digging in their yard because their house is on the side of a mountain, and they are worried a landslide could happen. Brittani and Chase would never ask for help themselves, so I am asking for them. I could not imagine such an exciting time in my life becoming such a nightmare and being let down by finding out insurance will not cover this. Their new home is in an unlivable condition and they can not use their plumbing. So much of their personal property was ruined and had to be thrown away. The severity of this has even been featured on KSL and KUTV news. Please help if you can!! ALL donations will go directly to Brittani and Chase!
