Help Me Finish What I Started — For My Family, My Community, and My Future
My name is Britny, and I’m a mom of three on a mission — not just to change my own life, but to help others do the same.
For 18 years, I struggled with addiction. It was a long, painful journey that took me through some of the darkest places of my life. But through strength, support, and hard work, I found recovery. And with that recovery came something unexpected: purpose.
When I got clean, I didn’t just want to survive — I wanted to thrive. More importantly, I wanted to show my kids that no matter how far you fall, it’s possible to rise. I enrolled in college to earn a degree in Psychology with a focus on Addiction and Recovery. My goal wasn’t just to get a diploma — it was to take everything I’ve been through and use it to guide and support others who are walking the same difficult path I once did.
Now, I’m in my final year of this journey.
But just as I was nearing the finish line, I hit a wall.
The financial aid that helped me make it this far is no longer available to me. I’ve exhausted every option I know of. I’ve worked hard to stay on track, all while raising three children and navigating life in recovery — but I can’t do this part alone.
I’m asking for your help to raise the funds I need to pay for my final year of college. Your support isn’t just helping me get a degree — it’s helping create a future where I can give back to others, support my family, and break cycles that have lasted for generations.
This isn’t just about me. It’s about every person who thinks it’s too late to start over. It’s about showing my kids — and others in my community — that no matter your past, your future is still yours to build.
If you can contribute, thank you from the bottom of my heart. And if you can’t, please consider sharing my story. Every bit of support brings me closer to the finish line.
With gratitude,
Britny Dunn
