Hi I am Britni. A sales manager, at a beautiful hotel in Tallahassee Fl. I am a daughter and a mother to a sweet loving wild two year old boy. I am humbly writing this in need of desperate help. Me, my mother, and my son have been displaced since May 10, 2024. Not only due to the two EF-2 tornadoes touching down in Tallahassee Fl, but my deceased grandmother home (where we lived with family) has been destroyed, making our home inhabitable in the process and our family has isolated us from getting any help with our new situation with being displaced.

Since the displacement, our family has changed the locks and only allows us in to grab some things when a relative is in town which isn’t often, unfortunately. Making it difficult to grab clothes, women necessities and toys for my son. We’ve been told we can’t get any help from the home insurance that we aren’t apart of. So it’s been difficult to pay for our regular costs due to hotel expenses, buying food, paying for laundry, and our daily needs for my son. However we are able to manage with one car, and our ability to be in a room with running water and electricity.

We have recently applied for housing and have been accepted, however our goal is to get help with paying the rest of our hotel bill, pay our first month rent and deposit to complete and lock in our new home. We aren’t the type to really ask for help, we are working women and pride ourselves on community, humanity and charity. We believe in our community and pray with whatever help and resources we get, we promise to pay it forward as always! The love and support is always greatly appreciated from everyone.
