Help Britney Get Life-Saving Surgeries

My name is Britney, and I’m a single mom to two wonderful boys. Over the past few months, my doctors have found multiple abnormal masses/growths throughout my body, including one in my thyroid and multiple in my uterus and ovaries, and there is a strong concern that they may be cancerous.

The mass in my thyroid is a T4 nodule, and I am currently awaiting biopsy results after being seen in Tampa this week. If my thyroid nodule is cancerous, I will need surgery immediately to have the mass or my entire thyroid removed.

The masses in my uterus and ovaries are also very concerning due to multiple other abnormalities on top of them. Because there are so many growths and there are so many things wrong, doctors believe it to be unsafe to biopsy everything first; I will need to have a complete hysterectomy regardless of whether it's cancer or not. The medical plan is to remove all the affected organs and complete testing on them for cancer afterwards.

These surgeries are not optional. Without them, doctors cannot rule out cancer or prevent it from spreading if it is present.

The hysterectomy will require me to be out of work for at least 4–8 weeks for recovery, and possibly longer if cancer is confirmed and oncology treatment is needed. As a single parent, missing this much work puts my family at serious financial risk, but it is absolutely necessary to have as soon as possible. Stability is extra important in my home and to my family because my youngest son is autistic. Any kind of major disruption to our household (like losing my home or utilities or even to struggle getting necessities) will negatively impact him significantly after he's/we've worked so hard to get him to where he's at.

I'm unsure at this time what my financial responsibility will be for my hysterectomy after my insurance picks up their part. If thyroid surgery is needed, I know it will be little to no down/recovery time but it carries a $1,000 copay that would have to be paid prior to surgery.

I am asking for help so I can:

Get the surgeries I need as soon as possible

Cover basic living expenses while I recover, as I will be out of work

Pay medical and travel costs related to ongoing treatment

Focus on healing and being here for my children

I never imagined I’d be in this position. Asking for help is incredibly hard for me, but right now it’s the only way I can move forward without delaying potentially life-saving care.

Thank you for even taking the time to read through all of this. If you’re able to donate or share, please know that I appreciate you more than you'll ever know, and it helps more than you can ever imagine. Thank you for supporting me and helping me fight for my health and for my kids. ❤️
