A friend in need is a friend indeed! I'm not exactly sure what that means, but I do know my friend, downtown Newnan community member and local artist (one the best there is), Ms. Britney LaFaye NEEDS SOME HELP! Let's help Britney BUY A CAR, here's why . . .

Britney is a single mom of the lovely Lauren who is an honors 6th grader in the Coweta school system. They live a materially sparse but magically abundant life in their small almost shotgun rental near downtown Newnan.

Britney found her legs as an abstract artist several years ago and has held art openings at the McRitchie-Hollis Museum, the Boyd Gallery, Trilith, and Greenville Art Studio. Her artwork is fantastic, colorful, and always with meaning and movement. She works hard at her art career and is enjoying the positive response. Britney also works many side hustles to make ends meet. Daughter Lauren is a delight. She is a dedicated student, hard worker, fashionista (masterful at finding ensembles at Goodwill), and SMART. BUT the best thing about Lauren is despite some hard knocks in her young life, her SMILE is almost always the biggest and brightest in the room!

Britney and Lauren live with their two small rescue dogs, Lucy and Sunny, who bring them much joy. Aside from art, Britney loves to cook, clean, organize and BE THERE for Lauren. Lauren practices clarinet and loves to play in the park with friends. Rest assured, alcohol nor drugs are a part of this home.

About the side hustles . . . Britney cleans houses, pet sits, does laundry/ironing, polishes silver, packs away and organizes holiday decor, runs errands, works events and helps with light catering. She can assist with just about anything and it's something she loves to do to get out of the house and earn money when not painting. Please consider hiring Britney for any odd job work you may have although at the moment she may need assistance getting to a job.

3 weeks ago Britney suffered a pretty major setback when the used car she'd driven for 5 years gave up. The repair was more than the car was worth. The car was junked leaving Britney with just $400 toward another one.

I have created a side account specifically for saving up money for Britney's replacement car. Won't you please add to it? Any amount will help more than you know. All donations greatly appreciated. If a car is unable to be procured with the money donated, donations will be returned. In other words, all donations are used to purchase a car or it comes back to you the donor.
