My name is Sara Stott, and I’ve created this GoFundMe on behalf of my friend and coworker, Britaney Szymanski, and her three children.

Earlier today, Britaney and her children were awaken by smoke in their home. Her 17 year old son Landon placed the call to 911 while Britaney got her two other children and family dog out of the home. Although she was not duty at the time, Britaney’s own team answered the call and swiftly dispatched emergency services.

Fire crews battled the blaze for over two hours. While insurance is expected to cover the damages eventually, there is a significant waiting period—and in the meantime, Britaney and her children have lost everything: clothing, furniture, toys, cherished items, and daily essentials.

Now, as she begins the long and emotional road to recovery, I’m asking for your support.
