Help Briona and Za’laiha: NICU Journey

Hello, my name is Briona Guidry. I'm a 20-year-old single mom to this beautiful little girl named Za’laiha.

I made this GoFundMe because my daughter is in the NICU in Baton Rouge at Our Lady of the Lake Health Hospital because she was born with Spinal Bifida. Spinal Bifida is a condition that is a birth defect in which a developing baby’s spinal cord fails to develop properly. This occurs when the mother doesn’t have enough folic acid in her body or when a developing baby’s spinal cord fails to develop properly or close properly within the womb.

With my daughter having this condition, she needs 24/7 care around the clock. Also, with the condition my daughter has, it makes it hard to work and even harder to find a reliable source of transportation for her appointments with no source of income to pay for gas. I’m hoping that you’ll find it in your heart to donate to a single struggling mother and my baby girl to hopefully lighten the load a little bit.
