Guess what — we’re adopting! This might come as a surprise to some of you, because while adoption was always part of our plan, we didn’t know for a long time if it would still be possible after everything our family walked through with Levi.
Many of you know Levi had a liver transplant — a journey that changed us forever. It brought uncertainty, long waits, hard decisions, and ultimately so much gratitude.
After that season, we weren’t sure what the future of our family would look like, or what we’d be capable of taking on. Even so, adoption never left our hearts. As Levi grew stronger and our family healed, we felt clarity return — not all at once, but steadily — that this was still part of our story.
Along the way, we were introduced to Zion, a little boy in Colombia who also had a transplant — a kidney transplant. When we learned that Zion’s transplant took place on Levi’s birthday, we just knew we needed to pay attention.
That connection didn’t feel random. It felt like confirmation. We understand medical journeys, waiting, recovery, and the joy of watching a child thrive after a second chance at life.
In so many ways, our family has been preparing for this without even realizing it. We are now officially approved to adopt, and we are so excited to take the next steps toward bringing Zion home.
Adoption is beautiful and meaningful — and it also comes with significant costs that we can’t take on alone.
The funds raised will help cover adoption-related expenses such as the home study, agency fees, USCIS fees, translation fees, dossier preparation, travel, home preparation, clothing, and furniture.
We’re beginning the fundraising part of this journey and inviting you to walk alongside us in whatever way feels right — through prayer, encouragement, sharing our story, or giving. Your support means the world to us as we work to bring Zion home.
