My name is Amy, and I’m reaching out for help to bring my emotional support dog, Zeus, back home to me. Zeus is a 7-year-old dog who has been by my side since he was just 6 weeks old. Recently, I had to leave Phoenix, AZ, where I was staying at a homeless shelter. The shelter paid for my trip home to Ukiah, CA, but unfortunately, they didn’t register Zeus as my dog during my intake. Because of this, Zeus was left behind in Phoenix with someone else, and now my boyfriend, who promised to return him, is having a difficult time due to his health, so he has not been able to work.
The situation has been heartbreaking. I left Phoenix because the heat was too much for both me and Zeus—I had already passed out from the heat three times, and Zeus doesn’t do well in those conditions either. My boyfriend is staying in a safe outdoor space, but it’s not a good environment for Zeus. I just want my baby boy home with me, where he belongs.
The funds I’m raising will go toward transportation costs to bring Zeus from Phoenix to Ukiah, and if needed, to cover court fees since Arizona considers animals as property. Any help to bring Zeus home means the world to me.
