If you’ve been keeping up with our posts, you probably saw this coming. The beloved van that we just spent 10k on we didn’t have to begin with, needs a new engine. Despite just having an oil leak “fixed”, it failed us, emptied, and ceased our engine 10 hours away from home. We toggled through the options. Flying home and calling it quits, buying a new vehicle in Boston or completing the tour on foot sprinting venue to venue... okay, maybe not that last one. Despite a new engine costing us $6,500 (USD) and the added fee of a rental $450 (USD) and likely missing a couple days of work (sorry Mike and Dylan), we’re biting the bullet to have it repaired. We need a van to get ourselves and our gear to shows, and with a 5 week tour coming up around the corner, sourcing a new method of transportation (as we know it) will only add more stress to the current situation. So here we are, defeated, deflated and depleted, asking for any range of financial help from any individuals who can spare it. We aren’t proud of asking this of our fans, friends and family, you already all do so much to keep our dream alive. But right now the overhead we’re carrying is too heavy for us to hold. So if you have anything to spare, we would truly be eternally grateful ().
