I am presenting my solo play, 'Where I Come From,' at the Midtown International Theatre Festival in New York City on June 15, 18 & 19, 2026. This play tells the story of Fergus Maloney, an Irish Famine refugee who is driven from Ireland by poverty and starvation to seek a new life in 19th century New York City. Fergus's journey explores the hardships faced by refugees all over the world and throughout time—deprivation, loss, anger, helplessness, uncertainty, and hope. The world has never been easy for refugees, and the struggles Fergus faced in 1847 are still experienced by millions today.

I am very excited and honored to have this opportunity to share Fergus's story with a New York audience. However, ticket revenue does not cover the costs of bringing the show to the festival. I am seeking support to cover transportation from the San Francisco Bay Area to New York City, accommodations for the week of the show, and marketing to help reach a wider audience. Your support will help me bring this important story to life and raise awareness about the ongoing challenges faced by refugees.

I hope you will consider supporting my journey. With your help, I can share this meaningful play and honor the resilience of those who, like Fergus, have sought hope and a new beginning in the face of adversity. Thank you for being part of this journey.
