What Happened Here, a new full-length play by Lisah Graziano, is heading to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August.
This fundraiser will help us raise money for our airfare, lodging, venue and beyond.
What Happened Here is a funny, tender, deeply human play about two people who do not quite believe they are worth saving.
About The Play
What Happened Here follows Melanie Babbitt and Salomon Marksman after they are set up on a blind date by their mutual friend. Salomon arrives determined to be unlikable, convinced that keeping people at a distance is safer than risking loss. Melanie, an artist who has spent years burying her own ambitions, refuses to let him disappear behind his defenses.
Across dates, arguments, and confessions, Melanie and Salomon slowly become mirrors for each other, seeing the worth they can not see themselves. Ultimately having to ask themselves the question, how do we fully love someone knowing we may have to let them go?

This show has already grown from a produced short play into a full-length work with readings and workshops in New York. Now, bringing it to Edinburgh gives us the chance to share it with discerning theatergoers, international audiences, critics, and industry professionals who come to the Fringe looking for exciting new voices.
A successful Edinburgh run could create momentum toward future productions, including the possibility of an Off-Broadway life.
