My name is Luis Martinez, and I am the chef at Taqueria Rosita in West Asheville. On Saturday, 9/28, we were able to feed over 300 people in our community, but unfortunately, we ran out of supplies and couldn't help more. I left Asheville that night and went to Shelby, North Carolina. Yesterday, Sunday, 9/29, I assisted in cooking at Shelby Methodist Church, providing meals for 325 people in the Shelby area. I want to express my gratitude to Jamie Swofford for inviting me to help!

Today, my plan is to gather water, food, and diapers to bring back to Asheville tomorrow, 10/1. I have just started a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for these supplies, so please share it and donate if you can. I plan to depart by 9 am and arrive in West Avl around 11 am, an area with a significant immigrant population. While this effort will benefit everyone, my focus is on a segment of the community that may not typically receive immediate assistance.
