My name is Abbigail, and I’m currently serving in the military, preparing for a major move from Japan to Italy. My 9-month-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Uva, has been my constant companion since she was just 8 weeks old. We do everything together—she comes to work with me, visits friends, and is always by my side at home. Military life means constantly saying goodbye to friends and being far from family, but Uva has been my anchor, making every day brighter and more bearable.

I followed all the military procedures to get Uva on my flight, but due to paperwork delays and the need to stay in Japan for an advancement exam, I lost the chance to secure a pet spot. Now, my only option is to use a pet shipping company to bring Uva to Italy. The military will reimburse a portion of the cost months after I arrive, but with all the expenses of moving to another country, I simply can’t afford the upfront payment. I’m asking for help to cover the cost of Uva’s flight so she can join me in Italy around the same time I arrive in September.
