We are developing a true bolt-on compression brake system for Cummins 5.9 and 6.7 engines — something that has never been available in a simple, practical, and accessible form.
Previous attempts have been made to create similar systems, but none have been successfully developed into a reliable, easy-to-install bolt-on solution. Our goal is to change that.
Unlike complex setups, this system is designed to work without an external air compressor, hydraulic pump, or expensive electronic controls — keeping it simple, durable, and practical for real-world use.
We are a father and son team from Norway working together to bring this idea to life. What started as a concept has already become a working system that proves the principle.
The brake activates near top dead center, releasing compressed air from the cylinder and creating real engine braking — similar to what is used on heavy-duty diesel engines.
Compared to traditional exhaust brakes, a true compression brake offers substantially higher braking performance, especially under load and at higher engine speeds.
Why we need your help
To turn this working concept into a finished bolt-on product, we need support for:
Redesign for reliability and long-term durability
Precision-machined components
Real-world testing under load
Refinement for simple installation
Our goal is to create a solution that is both effective and accessible to the diesel community.
Our goal
We aim to bring this product to the American and Canadian market — where the Cummins platform is widely used and where a true compression brake solution is highly relevant.
What your support means
Your support will help turn a proven concept into a real product.
By contributing, you are helping a small father and son team bring a new, practical solution to the Cummins platform — built with simplicity, performance, and real-world usability in mind. Without your support, we simply cannot cover the cost of developing this into a finished product.
