Lincoln County Friends of Tibet is bringing four Tibetan monks from Gaden Shartse Monastery (Phukhang) to the Oregon coast in February 2026.

The monks will be creating Sand Mandalas at each location and doing week-long residencies in Lincoln City (Feb. 11-15), Yachats (Feb. 17-22), and Newport (Feb. 24-Mar. 1), sharing teachings, ceremonies, empowerments, cultural presentations, workshops, and home, business, personal, and land blessings.

In order to manifest such an ambitious series of events, Lincoln County Friends of Tibet needs to raise initial funds in preparation for their visits. Preparation and production costs in each location include printing of posters and flyers, venue-related costs, advertising, and so on.

In past visits, we have kept our production and preparation costs to a bare minimum, utilizing venue donations with our partners and other types of material donations to supplement what we have to pay for directly. This series of visits will be no exception: We will keep production costs to a bare minimum, and any received funds beyond those expenses will go directly to the monks for construction of expanded housing facilities at the monastery in the Tibetan Refugee Zone in Southern India.

ALL donations collected at the door and during their stay will go directly to the monks.
