THE PROJECT – One Last Show in Taghmon
Written & Directed by: Alan Walsh
Produced by: Paddy McCarney
Alan Walsh has worked as a stunt performer/co-ordinater in the film industry in Ireland for over 30 years. He’s also a writer and director.
Alan’s need to tell this story comes from his deep personal connection to it and the people involved. John Condron, who the short film is based on, was a close friend and fellow stuntman, he played a significant role in Alan’s life, they began their stunt training together in 1978.
The night before John died, he called Alan asking him to come to the show and film the stunt, unfortunately, Alan couldn’t make it. Creating this tribute film is his way to honour his memory and say a heartfelt farewell to a dear friend. The film blends real-life experiences with added scenes and dialogue for dramatic effect, but at its core, it holds a deep truth and personal significance to Alan.
With Alan’s years in the film industry working alongside the very best we've already put in place an amazing crew eager to help us get this piece made. In return for their generous contribution we'd love to offer them more than just a ham or cheese sandwich! And produce a high quality short film with an edit and score it deserves. If you can help us achieve that in any way big or small we'd be eternally grateful!
