Help bring the Pererinion Ysbrydol Festival Academy to life!

Hello everyone! Ezo here! Despite our busy schedules, myself and my musical partner in crime Deniz Cengiz are starting our own Festival this summer taking place in the beautiful Gregynog Hall in Wales from the 26th of July to 2nd of August 2025!

In recent years, being a music student has proven to be extremely difficult where conservatoire tuition fees are through the roof and the cost of the living crisis is getting worse by the day. Gigs just do not pay anymore, leading to more young musicians looking for alternative paths outside of music! This is not what we want! Music education should be accessible for everyone and not be a financial struggle!

With this in mind, Deniz and I created the Pererinion Ysbrydol Festival and Academy - (PYFA for short!)

The aim of our festival/academy is to offer our wonderful students an opportunity to work with some of the most in demand performers/professors, whom are: Roman Simovic, Milena Simovic, David Cohen and Boris Kusnezow.

When attending a masterclass of this nature, often we as students worry about accommodation, food, fees etc... the whole lot. The money side of this can be quite a strain on an undergrad's pocket and the organisation of it can be tedious! So, ladies and gents... PYFA offers a package of food, tuition and accommodation all on site at the beautiful Gregynog Hall!

Our aim with PYFA is to inspire the next generation with an ethos of ancient futures through a week of three 90 minute intensive lessons each and performances alongside colleagues and faculty. Everything will be provided on site for our students, so they will solely be able focus on their music-making. A festival like PYFA will be a place to make musical connections and help the next generation of chamber musicians find their voice!

Of course, launching such a project in its first year, is always a challenge, particularly financially! We have made very positive progress with our festival funding, but still have a little way to go, so your support will help bring our vision to life!
