Help Bring The LGBT Community A Presence On Stage

As a child, I began to understand that I had feelings for the same sex. Like many young girls, I loved Disney movies and fairytales, but I had no princess or hero to look up to. I grew up never seeing someone who was truly like me. All I knew were stories that ended with a prince and a princess; a man and a woman. Because of this, I thought what I felt wasn’t okay to show, let alone even feel.

As a young adult, I am now aware that what I feel is completely normal. I want to ensure younger people like me understand it’s normal too. This past year I have been writing, directing, and producing my own LGBTQ+ princess story. My show, Eclipse, will bring the LGBTQ+ community a presence and voice in theatre. It will give us a chance to prove that our story is equally important. Through this, I hope that LGBTQ+ youth can look up to these characters and realize it is okay to have the feelings they have.

This show has been a non-stop project since the beginning of October 2020. I couldn’t be more proud of the progress so far. Every single person a part of this team has put their all into bringing this show to life. However, now is the time where we ask for your help.

Unfortunately, the original plan to fund this show fell through, and now we are stuck without a way to fund such an important project. We are kindly asking for your help to raise money for Eclipse.
